I managed to squeeze in one more watercolor workshop before Valentine’s Day this month, this time at local art and plant shop, Art Terrarium. The positively tropical feeling interior of this quirky shop provided a much needed respite from Des Moines cold and snow.
For this class, I taught specifically how to paint flowers for two different styles of heart-themed cards. Attendees also learned about the myriad of meanings behind each variety of bloom from peonies to violets.
