This past weekend I was excited to count myself among the more seasoned vendors at the new Ember Market In Des Moines. After both spring and summer vendor events, Ember Market provided me the opportunity to share my latest illustrations as holiday cards, prints, and calendars.
Soon to become a monthly event, Ember Market provides a platform for both new and seasoned artists and makers to sell their wares in a relaxed, collaborative environment. I enjoyed seeing both old friends and meeting new vendors and feel fortunate to live in a city that values creativity and young entrepreneurial spirit.
As this is my last market event of the year, it's gratifying to see how far I’ve come since deciding to put my illustrations to work, first in an Etsy shop, then at local paper boutique, Ephemera, and now three separate vendor events. I know I still have much to learn in the coming year, but I’m glad I can count on events like Ember Market to keep pushing me both as a creative and an entrepreneur.
