Join local illustrator, Claire Sedovic to craft your own picture book! Designed for kids ages 9 to 11, each of the six sessions is an hour long and teaches about elements of story, character sketching, sequencing, illustration, and cover design. In addition, kids will learn the art of watercolor painting to bring to life the characters and settings of their imaginations. At the end of the two-week session, kids will illustrate and bind their own stories as six-panel accordion books they can each take home.

Dates/Time: TWO sessions offered this summer, MWF from 2:30-3:30 pm

• Session 1: July 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22

• Session 2: August 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12

Location: Workshops are capped at 10 kids and are held within Claire’s studio (#325 at Mainframe Studios, 900 Keosauqua Way, DSM, IA 50309)

Cost: $125 per kid (includes all required supplies)
